ABOUT ME
Howdy! My name is Maranda Bautsch. I am an Aggie (Class of ’25), but more importantly, a daughter of God! I love to write, read books, spend time in nature, go hiking, spend time with friends, do arts and crafts, study the Bible with my peers, create music on my guitar, and truly experience God in all aspects of my life!
I’ve experienced so much of God’s faithfulness in college, from being friendless to gaining true community, from not knowing who I really am to walking with confidence in my identity as His child, from enduring countless health trials to not letting fear hold me down, and from being lost about my future to realizing I have been called into ministry! Starting August 1st, 2025, I will be the Administrative and Connections Resident at Declaration Church in Bryan/College Station, TX. There is importance in the details. There is care behind the operations. Without behind-the-scenes work, the work of the gospel wouldn’t be possible! I’m so excited to take a step into ministry and see how God grows me!
I started going to Declaration Church my first semester at Texas A&M, and from that moment, I knew I had found a place I would call home. By being exposed to people who truly cared about me and took the time to know me, being encouraged to fully surrender to God in a season where everything was changing and life was hard, and truly experiencing how God wanted to use me, I was transformed. I could no longer live for the world . It was all about Him now—and that brought me the most joy, peace, and freedom I had ever experienced.
I didn’t see it before, but God has been preparing me for this position far longer than I could have known. Throughout college, I’ve had the privilege of serving at Declaration on a myriad of teams (College, Communion, Baking, Youth, Greeting), which has enabled me to get a wide glimpse into the heart of my church and understand the depth of responsibility that goes into operating one. This has shaped a desire in me to work at a church and be a vessel used by God to change lives just like mine had been years before! I’ve also volunteered at Breakaway, which is a bible study on the campus of Texas A&M held every Tuesday night. The desire is to help any and every college student take their first or next step with Jesus Christ.
I started on the Support team, which consisted on working in the office, aiding the Breakaway Staff, and counting the attendance every Tuesday. I also served as a Team Leader on the Hospitality Team, which consisted of helping any and every need for the Breakaway Staff, Worship Team, and guests by making them feel seen with reserved seats, food and drinks, and a host that is there from the moment they walk through the door to the moment they leave. These two teams have deepened my desire for behind-the-scene work that enables leaders, staff members, and front-line volunteers to change lives with the gospel.
With my residency at Declaration Church, I will be obtaining ministry experience along with personal, spiritual, and professional development geared towards my desires and spiritual gifts, all while doing tasks including (but not limited to) Admin, HR, Event Planning, and communication with the church body and volunteer teams. I want to grow in my giftings at Declaration Church so that God can continue to change and save lives! The local church is vital in providing community that lives out the mission of God by providing for each other, knowing each other, holding each other accountable, and building each other up in Christ. Without the local church, our walks with Christ would suffer on our own!
I am so excited for this residency, but I cannot do it alone. I am looking for partners who will support me in three ways: through Prayer, Connection, and by Financially giving.
I am reliant on God and His faithfulness, and it is my job to seek out generous givers who want to join my team and support me financially. I accept one-time donations as well as monthly, quarterly, and annually. You can give anywhere from $25-$250 monthly (all tax-deductible), but with my goal, I am looking for more people who will give at least $100 a month for 12 months if you are capable. Together, we can change lives with the gospel in Bryan/College Station!
